The messages and wisdom from Prophet Yunus’s Quranic story were a major part of my purification journey. The story of his time inside the belly of the fish has carried meaning for me far beyond what I expected. For over a year and a half, I felt trapped in my own version of that darkness, and only complete surrender to Allah pulled me out of it. The Quran gives us this story to remind us that no matter how deep the darkness goes, Allah hears the one who turns to Him.
The messages and wisdom from Prophet Yunus Quranic story were a major part of my purification journey. Finding spirituality outside of religion can lead to profound personal insights. Many individuals embark on this journey, exploring various philosophies and practices that resonate with their beliefs.
I was stuck in the belly of the whale for over a year and a half.
It has been the most distressing yet profound experience of my life.
I would not change it for the world as it connected me to Allah on a very high level and it led me to completely surrender to Islam.
Trapped in Old Neural Thought Pathways
What I just recently discovered is that we can be completely stuck and trapped in neural thought pathways that we were accustomed to as a baby.
So for example, if you are born into an environment that has a high level of anger, resentment, unworthiness etc, as a baby you will absorb that energy field and think that’s who you are.
We will then go through life attracting situations that are a vibrational match to this energy field.
Until you become aware of these patterns, you assume they are just your personality. But they are not. They are absorbed energy from your earliest environment, and recognising this is the first step in being able to break free from them with Allah’s help.
The Cycle of Trapped Emotions
If we don’t process the negative experiences that makes us feel the emotion of anger and resentment, we will constantly attract experiences, people and situations that are of a vibrational match to that energy field throughout our life.
If we then hold on to all these negative emotions and don’t let them go, the emotions will stay trapped in our body.
It then becomes an unconscious cycle of, vibrational undercurrent, produces thoughts that are a match to that energy field, then attract experiences that confirm what we are putting out, feel negative emotions from the experiences that happen to us, not letting go of these negative emotions then automatically stores them in the body, the vibration is still there UNCONSCIOUSLY MOST OF THE TIME, we then go on to attract more negative experiences that make us feel angry and resentful, it goes on a on..
These trapped emotions then manifest in health issues.
A Life Awakening Forces Us to Surrender
It’s only once a life awakening situation happens to us such as a near death experience for example, that we are forced to surrender.
It’s in these experiences, if you are lucky enough to get called to such an opportunity, can you then fully surrender and realise only Allah (God) can save you and guide you out of the mess.
Step by step.
But we have to believe in Him and trust Him fully in order for it to work.
For me, that surrender came after years of trying to fix things on my own. The moment I gave up control and turned everything over to Allah, things finally started to shift. He answers the one who calls on Him sincerely, just as He answered Prophet Yunus inside the darkness.
The Only Way to Stop the Pattern
I believe the only way to stop this pattern keep reoccurring within our societies is to be COMPLETELY HONEST with ourselves and CONSTANTLY work on our negative emotions (we all have stuff going on).
Children pick up on vibration and energy, not what you say or do.
You can’t fake positivity, you can’t pretend to be in happy relationships, you can’t pretend to have positive environment.
Energy is FELT.
Islam provides a complete framework and solid guidance from the Quran that helps us to get into alignment with the truth. Lessons on humility in Islam encourage self-reflection and awareness. They remind us of the importance of service to others and the value of compassion in our interactions.
