What’s My BIGGEST Super Power in Business?

My biggest superpower in business is perseverance and persistence. Both of these are gifts Allah gave me, and they are the reason I am where I am today. From years of severe depression as a young girl to building Allocation Assist Middle East from zero, the path has been long, uncomfortable, and disciplined. But every time I refused to give up, Allah carried me forward, and that trust is the real foundation of everything I have built.

What’s my BIGGEST Super Power in Business?

One of my biggest strengths and gifts Allah gave me in life and business is PERSEVERANCE and PERSISTENCE.

Building Through Pain and Pressure

When I was a young girl, I suffered with severe emotional pain/depression for 13 years until one day, when I was 25 years old, I finally worked it all out and found peace. I still went to work every day, working multiple jobs, and completed my Nursing Degree with First Class Honours.

When I was 21 years old, it took me around 6 – 12 months to build the habit of enjoying exercise by forcing myself to the gym every day, even though I hated it at first.

Those years taught me how to show up even when I felt nothing inside. That ability to keep moving regardless of how I was feeling became the foundation for everything I built later in life.

3.5 Years to Get Allocation Assist Off the Ground

To get Allocation Assist Middle East off the ground and start monetizing, it took 16 trips from the UK to Dubai over 3.5 years, working full-time as a nurse, 10K GBP in debt.

Once I made it to Dubai in 2018, it took me another 3 years to work out a business model that is scalable in the Gulf region (business is done differently in the Middle East).

For some of our biggest business accounts, it took me 8 – 9 years of persistent follow-up to get them on board with us.

Most people would have walked away after the first or second year, especially with the debt and the long flights. But I had decided in my heart that I was not leaving this idea unfinished, and Allah carried me through every season of waiting until the doors opened in His timing.

Discipline, Sleep, and Mindset

It took me around 2 years to work out a nighttime routine that helps me to be able to have a deep REM sleep every night (I used to really struggle with insomnia previously). Still, although at times I couldn’t sleep for weeks, I still managed to build a successful business.

I REFUSE to give up, my mindset is like this: I would rather die than not be thriving.

This mindset is not arrogance; it is conviction. I genuinely believe Allah did not place this calling in my heart for me to abandon it the moment things get hard. So I keep moving, even when sleep is broken, even when the body is tired, and I trust Him to refill what He has emptied.

Take the First Step, and Allah Will Help You

Changing our lives to become the better version of ourselves takes extreme discipline, discomfort, patience and persistence.

But what I experienced is that if you just do what you can to progress yourself in whatever it is you need to focus on right now, if you just take the first steps with solid intentions and belief, Allah will help you so much.

Even over the last year, I was suffering with a disturbing health condition, the business was still running, I still did the podcast even though I felt so unwell on each set.

Our business was still profitable and grew significantly.

Allah took care of everything for me.

Surrender and Let Him Take Control

I promise you, when you TRULY believe in Allah, He will take care of everything for you.

Surrender and let Him take control.

But you have to believe FIRST, not the other way around.

Allah Akbar.

People often wait for the proof before they will trust. Allah works the opposite way. The trust has to come first, and then He shows you what He can do once you have actually let go of the wheel.
