The War in Dubai Came at The Perfect Time

I believe this war in Dubai has come at a perfect time. Hard moments often arrive carrying a deeper purpose, and Islam teaches us that nothing reaches a believer except by Allah’s decree, and always with wisdom behind it. Reading the Quran daily, especially during Ramadan, has shown me how every event in this life is meant to bring us closer to Him. Dubai for me, has become a place where faith is tested, sharpened, and truly lived.

I believe this war in Dubai has come at a perfect time.

Although I have been diligently reading the Quran every day since October 2025, I can definitely notice the difference when reading it during Ramadan.

I feel it is literally a live book sent from God, like it is speaking to me so clearly every day. During Ramadan, the words land differently. The meaning comes through with a clarity I do not experience at any other time of year.

Reflections on Dubai from ‘The Story’

Today, I was reading ‘The Story’ 28, which reminded me of some profound truths about Dubai.

I have heard some people say that Dubai is a superficial city of materialism, excess, and is often viewed as a playground for wealth and luxury.

While that perception holds some truth, my personal experience living in Dubai holds a different reality.

In my opinion, Dubai in its essence, is one of the most spiritually conscious places on the earth today, guided by leaders who are deeply aware of God. The people who stay here and build something real are not the ones chasing the surface. They are the ones who are anchored in something that goes much deeper than what this city looks like from the outside.

A Testing Ground for Faith

In my opinion, Dubai is a testing ground to navigate the temptations of worldly life while remaining anchored in faith.

True believers view material possessions as secondary.

Through my recent journey into Islam, my life now makes so much sense to me, I now realize that this worldly life is only a test of our love, obedience and faith in God. And this world is inherently imperfect because it is not meant to be our eternal home. We are only here to be tested. Our true destination is the Hereafter.

While enjoying life is permissible, nothing should supersede our devotion to God. Everything I have built here sits beneath that truth, and I try to hold it that way every day.

In Islam, it is a sin to elevate material possessions or worldly pursuits above Allah. Only when we prioritize God will we find true security and peace.

The Straight Path and the Day of Judgment

I am firm in my belief that Islam is the straight path, the way to true success.

So far, the recent bombing events do not frighten me at all.

I am more concerned about the Day of Judgment about whether I am truly fulfilling Allah’s commands. That is where my attention sits, not on what is happening in the world around me, but on whether I am showing up the way He is asking me to.

Alhamdulillah, so far our business remains resilient through these trials. Doctors are still relocating, true believers will still come to the UAE, and they will find refuge in Dubai.
